The meeting was called to order by president Bill Gruhn shortly before 7PM. The meeting was held in Timothy's conference room, with standing room only.
| Bill introduced Timothy's CEO Richard Gipe who gave us all a brief history of how they got started and why such a large operation ended up in Hot Springs Arkansas.
|
 | |

| Jerry Bellante, the Vice President of Operations also spoke briefly before the tours began.
|
We were split up into two groups and we were given a step by step tour of the facility. Jerry passed around examples of the various print finishing techniques.
| The "Amazing Angela" demonstrated a glazing technique applied with a sponge brush.
|
The glaze will dry clear giving the print an oil-style textured finish.
| The glaze can also be applied with a roller giving the print a much finer texture.
|

Angela also applies matting to the prints.

Custom mats are produced quickly using a computerized mat cutter.

Computers also play a role in the frame assembly.
|
Finally, the framed prints are backed with paper, and prepared for shipping.

Many of these framed prints will be available at the Village Art Auction on February 20 at the Coronado Center.

After the tour of the operations, we got to see a storage area that they obtained when the former owners sold out to them. There are piles of ready made frames. There is also a whole wall of framing moldings that are not presently in their current inventory.
| All this molding is for sale for a dollar a foot. Much of it is still in boxes. Some of the boxes are more than half full of molding. Anyone who is interested in making frames can go and pick out whatever you like. They are more than happy to sell it to you.
